Live @ Ludlow! Microbrewery

Building Architecture- Large Scale (>10,000 sf)

Project Narrative

A few weeks after Woodstock, September 19th, 1969, Jim Tarbell opened Ludlow Garage as a concert hall. It was only open for 17 months but featured famous acts like Iggy Pop, Santana, The Allman Brothers, and many more! The Ludlow Garage transforms Cincinnati's youth culture. This brewery embraces the rich history of Ludlow Garage. Tours are offered where you can learn about the brewing process and the history of Ludlow.
The concept for this design was "Nostalgia & Performance". I applied this concept by embracing Ludlow's history and giving the user a nostalgic experience. The performance spaces are the stages featured in the middle of the bar and in the mezzanine as well as the brewing stage. Performances held here bring the community together like in the early 70's!
