JP Flooring is one of the largest flooring and tile companies in the region. More than 20 years ago, they asked us to design their identity and showroom, and now we've had a chance to do it again.
The theme was to reduce and simplify with a focus on customer experience. We started with an identity refresh, resulting in a cleaner, bolder look that kept the existing brand equity.
In the showroom, we created a quiet, neutral environment that focuses on the product, additional design space, and eliminates the busy vendor displays seen in other flooring showrooms. Updates in lighting and furniture reinforce the theme.
The lobby features a large-scale, sculptural JP logo composed of the industry's best flooring materials to represent all JP offers. A large reception desk provides ample counter space to check out/return flooring samples, and the red welcome wall anchors the composition. A series of lighted graphics deliver the "Selection + Service = Value" sales proposition, underscoring JP's value to its customers. Custom wood floor displays feature larger samples allowing customers to compare between species and finishes. A series of (3) new design suites provide space for design professionals and their customers to work together.
JP's employees are their most important asset. Office messaging keeps the JP team focused and working together. The theme "Be Awesome" is introduced monumentally in the lunchroom but also as a signature to colorful wall graphics throughout the office. A large digital display, with custom "JP TV", trumpets special events and employee recognition.
